GRAVITY HILL is Robert Bidleman's first feature film.
He has written/directed 5 short films
(Hey John, Claro, Tons, Jujalu and Whelmer).
Gravity Hill was shot handheld in it's entirety in Sonoma and Mendocino counties.
Robert's aim was to create mood and an increasing sense of a separate reality as the
background for the story.
Guitar Planet, his current project is a hybrid, serialized documentary
about Tom Ribbecke for broadcast in the Fall of 2009. Ribbecke is the acknowledged
Stradivari of modern guitar makers and his guild-like shops in Healdsburg, California
are as diverse as the young people he is passing the craft of fine instrument making to.
